One of the things I do want to flag for you guys is a lot of people who go over there

actually bork at the idea of having to pay money to an attorney instead they’re looking

at these online legal service. Now these online legal services are much cheaper. So where

you might pay say 1,000 dollars to get an attorney to look after you to set up your

companies and all the rest, a legal service online might cost you 3-400 dollars. The advice

I want to give you guys though, it’s okay to do that but just don’t cut corners. The

thing that I want to flag for you guys is what you can do is you can go to a whole lot

of trouble to set up structures in the US, but unless that actually operated properly

they’re actually deemed like useless. So, if you’re going for an online service, you

just want to make sure that those sorts of things are covered. I’ve heard a couple

of solicitors in the US or attorneys in the US use the term you get what you pay for,

it’s not that you want to be ripped off either, but I think what you want to be looking

for is to pay a reasonable fee for them to do a reasonable service for you. So we don’t

want to be fleeced, but what you want to make sure is that they do actually operate or oversee

the structures for you on an ongoing basis, so it’s just not a here’s a company, here’s

a structure, go for it. They are your eyes and ears on the ground. Now, really of all

the relationships that you’re going to have in the US, the only person that’s really

going to look after you and watch your back is your attorney. So what we want from attorneys

as a minimum, you want them to prepare and file the articles of organization, you want

them to prepare an operating agreement for structure, you want them to serve as your

resident agent, you want them to serve as a record keeper, you want to make sure that

they exclude all the paper work that you need to make sure that your liabilities are covered

and you want them to monitor your bank accounts and tax returns. Now, Paul’s going to be

coming up shortly and he’ll be covering that up in a little bit more details but really

unless if those basic steps are actually met, unless they’re actually going to do those

things for you, really some of these online services are going to be pretty useless. You

might as well go and buy those structures direct from the companies that generate them.
